UK-based secure cloud services provider, Six Degrees, today announced a management shakeup as part of its growth plans.
From 1st May 2021, current CEO, David Howson, will become Chairperson of the Board and Simon Crawley-Trice, currently Practice Group Managing Director, will assume the role of CEO.
Web hosting business, Miss Group, has appointed David Nordberg to be its chief marketing officer to support its growth plans.
Nordberg joins the Perwyn-backed business from gaming and e-sports platform, G-Loot, and a board position with e-sports app, Strafe. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in building international brands, cross-functional teams and new business models for a range of fast-growth online businesses.
His appointment follows a strong period of growth for the Group, which completed two acquisitions in March 2021 – Seravo and MMD Networks. So far Miss Group has swallowed up 14 companies since 2018, with five completed under Perwyn-ownership since February 2020.
CityFibre has appointed comms industry veteran, Matt Walker as its new Director of Customer Delivery and Assurance.
Walker has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, previously holding roles such as Director of Customer Service for consumer business at Openreach and senior roles in Group Strategy at BT Technology.
Walker will be directly responsible for CityFibre’s ’s provisioning, customer service, Network Operations Centre and technical support teams.
“I’ve joined a great team and my focus will be on ensuring we provide consistent, reliable performance for our partners, and for their customers. Gavriella Schuster, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of Commercial Partner, has announced she is to leave her current role.
Rodney Clark will be the new corporate vice president of Global Channel Sales and channel chief for Microsoft. Having spent 23 years with Microsoft himself, Clark most recently served as vice president of IoT and Mixed Reality Sales.
In a LinkedIn post, the Microsoft veteran said it was time to “pass the torch”.
“Over the coming months I am committed to helping Rodney onboard and helping my teams close the year strong and prepare the business for the future”, Schuster said.
Video provider Velocix has promoted Anthony Berkeley to be its CEO.
Berkeley was most recently Chief Operating Officer at Velocix, and he has previously held senior leadership roles in sales, product, and professional services during his 11-year tenure with the company. Prior to Velocix, he held senior positions at Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia.

Converged IP Solutions distie Mayflex has a appointed Melanie Day as the Head of Channel Sales for Hikvision, a new position focused on the management and development of sales of Hikvision stuff into the reseller market.
Melanie joins Mayflex with experience in the security industry, and in particular, the manufacturer of CCTV solutions, Hikvision.
Gavin Jackson has joined Microsoft as the vendor’s managing director for enterprise commercial business in the UK.

Cloudy CloudBolt Software has appointed Patrick Malaperiman as the new Vice President of Sales for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). Based out of London, he will be responsible for helping CloudBolt grow its presence and scale its customer base across the EMEA region.
With nearly 30 percent of CloudBolt’s customer base outside the US, the strategic hire of Malaperiman comes on the heels of the company’s successful 2019. This includes the opening of new locations in London and Boston, 50 percent year-over-year growth in customer orders, and being named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list.
Malaperiman brings an extensive background of over 25 years in the software industry, including 15 years leading international sales, sales engineering, and channel teams. Malaperiman most recently served as Senior Vice President of Sales, EMEA at NetBrain Technologies, and Vice President of International Sales at Cherwell Software. Prior to Cherwell, Malaperiman served in senior EMEA sales roles during two successful IPOs at ServiceNow and Twilio.
UK-based Tollring, the software developer behind communications analytics, call recording and anti-fraud product iCall Suite, has hired Graham Evans to head up business strategy in the Asia Pacific region.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Evans brings with him over 20 years of management expertise in product, marketing and sales within the telecommunications industry having previously worked at Vonage, Vocus, M2 Telecommunications, AAPT and Hutchison Telecom.
Hybrid cloud solution provider Unitas Global appointed Mary Stanhope as its Chief Marketing Officer.
Walker, who heads to Unitas Global from iMarket2, and brings more than two decades of experience in leadership positions in marketing, product, and channels at technology and services companies.
Her previous work has included Global Capacity, Sidera Networks, Atos Origin, and SchlumbergerSema. She also has been named CRN’s Top Women in the Channel, Global Telecom Business’s 50 Women to Watch in Communication, and Fierce Telecom’s Top 10 Wired Women.
Nutanix has appointed Thomas Rollin as Director of Global Accounts for its EMEA region. He will focus on heightening customer service delivery for the company’s global accounts, accelerating sales growth and providing trusted advisor services.

Keith White has been named as the head of HPE GreenLake – the newly-created edge-to-cloud platform-as-a-service business unit.
With more than 20 years’ experience at Microsoft, White played a key role in developing Microsoft’s end-to-end, go-to-market and cloud business strategy.
HPE said his most recent role as head of Intelligence Cloud, Worldwide Commercial Business, included playing a key role in driving significant Azure growth over seven consecutive years, HPE said.
White brings extensive experience in worldwide field sales and marketing, partner ecosystem development and business strategy leadership to his role, HPE said,
Sabio has hired former NewVoiceMedia CEO, Minecast and Symantec executive Jonathan Gale as its new CEO.
Gale will step into shoes that are vacated by Andy Roberts, who will become a vice-chairman.
Since Horizon Capital backed the firm in 2016, it has sealed six deals, including Callware, SaaS solutions provider Rapport, contact centre player DatapointEurope, customer insight and contact centre benchmarking firm Bright UK and flexAnswer Solutions, the Singapore-based provider of Virtual Assistant solutions.
Gale’s task will be to drive the growth and exploit the opportunities that are out there in the customer experience market.
TIBCO Software announced that Scott Roza has been appointed its new president & global head of customer operations.
Roza will lead TIBCO’s global sales, alliances, professional services, and customer excellence functions. He will report to TIBCO’s chief executive officer, Dan Streetman.
Roza was formerly president of worldwide field operations at Clearwater Analytics, a privately held global fintech firm, and before that served as chief business officer at Guidewire Software, a publicly-traded technology company serving the insurance industry. Prior to Guidewire, Roza was CEO of Skytap, a venture-backed SaaS company that achieved 70%+ year-over-year growth for five consecutive years.

Global channel services provider, Agilitas IT Solutions’s brand ambassador, Georgia Hall has picked up her gong
Georgia was awarded her MBE today by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. Georgia attended the ceremony with her Mother and Grandmother who proudly supported her as she received the award.
Georgia Hall became an Agilitas brand ambassador earlier this year and sports the company’s logo on her clothing at all tournaments. She has also been host to a number of exciting company events where Agilitas employees and partners have been in attendance and she will also be attending the opening of Agilitas’ new international logistics hub early next year.
The 23-year-old from Bournemouth was also the Women’s European Number One in the sport for 2017 and 2018. In August last year, her two-shot victory at the Women’s British Golf Open marked the fifth win for a British woman at a major championship.
