Miss Group appoints Nordberg chief marketing officer.

Web hosting business, Miss Group, has appointed David Nordberg to be its chief marketing officer to support its growth plans.

Nordberg joins the Perwyn-backed business from gaming and e-sports platform, G-Loot, and a board position with e-sports app, Strafe. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in building international brands, cross-functional teams and new business models for a range of fast-growth online businesses.

His appointment follows a strong period of growth for the Group, which completed two acquisitions in March 2021 – Seravo and MMD Networks. So far Miss Group has swallowed up 14 companies since 2018, with five completed under Perwyn-ownership since February 2020.

Miss Group picks up Pickaweb

Web hosting outfit, Miss Group, has acquired UK-headquartered Pickaweb as part of its buy and build strategy.

The acquisition of Pickaweb is the twelfth acquisition for Miss Group over the last two years and adds a further 7,000 SME customers across the UK and Spain. Pickaweb will be integrated into existing brands within the Group, with the UK business joining Hostek UK and Pickaweb’s Spanish business integrating with Profesional Hosting in Spain.

In February 2020, private equity investor, Perwyn acquired a majority position in Miss Group to support the growth ambitions of the business through international expansion and ongoing M&A, and Pickaweb is the third acquisition to be completed under Perwyn ownership.

Miss Group scores HSBC UK cash

Manchester-based web hosting business, Miss Group, has secured an increased £20 million debt funding commitment from HSBC UK to support its ambitious international growth strategy.

Miss Group has completed four acquisitions this year and alongside strong organic revenue growth, has increased revenues by 200 percent in the first nine months of 2019, it said.

Miss Group scores BGF cash

Manchester-based Miss Group has secured a £13 million follow-on investment from BGF to support its international acquisition strategy.

Founded in 2014, Miss Group is an international web hosting business that offers a range of services to the SME market, such as web hosting, domain registration, VPS and dedicated servers.

Following BGF’s initial investment in August 2018, Miss Group acquired Hemsida24 and Heymo to grow its reach across Scandinavia. The deal saw the company add 14,000 customers and €1 million EBITDA to the business. The acquisition of FS Data in March 2019 of FS Data brought 30,000 more customers to the business and £1.5 million EBITDA. The follow-on investment from BGF will support further European acquisitions as Miss Group embarks on its next phase of growth.
