Exclusive Networks appoints Ferrand-Ajchenbaum as vendor Tsar

Exclusive Networks appointed international channel veteran Denis Ferrand-Ajchenbaum to lead its global vendor strategy.

The outfit said that Ferrand-Ajchenbaum  brings a proven scorecard of vendor success to his role where he will be responsible for maximising the value and global penetration of existing vendor relationships while scouting and acquiring the next generation of Exclusive Networks’ trust digital infrastructure portfolio.

Ferrand-Ajchenbaum is an ex-Arrow and IBM senior executive brings over 30 years’ leadership experience and extensive C-level connections gleaned from his Silicon Valley background and presence across technology forums.

Exclusive Networks CEO Jesper Trolle said: “Denis has exactly the right skills and experience to strengthen and harmonise our blend of vendor alliances, bringing huge growth opportunities to all our partners around the world. Exclusive Networks widens X-OD options

Exclusive Networks has included Fortinet among its team of X-OD disties and increased the number of countries which can use the platform.

Patrice Perche, chief revenue officer and executive vice-president support at Fortinet, said it wanted to provide resellers with more consumption options.

Perche said: “With X-OD, Exclusive has engineered another genuinely innovative contribution to channel dynamics that aligns with how we see the world and how we want our partners to be enabled and supported. Extrahop goes Exclusive

Network detection outfit ExtraHop announced a new distribution agreement with Exclusive Networks, a specialist IT security distributor, to cover five countries across Europe including Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Netherlands. The agreement spans the entire portfolio of ExtraHop security and cloud products and services.

Exclusive Network’s sole focus is on the distribution of innovative cybersecurity solutions to protect systems, data and applications across hybrid networks and modern distributed workforces. Exclusive Networks launches new online delivery channel

Exclusive Networks has launched an online delivery channel for all its cybersecurity and infrastructure products and services.

X-OD (‘Exclusive Networks On-Demand’) is part of the outfit’s transition to subscription-based consumption. The new platform marks a revolutionary shift in how cyber and infrastructure solutions and related services are bought and sold, enabling partners to meet the market need for opex-based consumption and deliver a fully digital customer experience across the value chain.

X-OD is available today in the UK, Netherlands and France, with expansion into Belgium, Spain, Germany, Finland, Ireland and Austria from November 1st and the rest of the world in 2021.

Jesper Trolle becomes Exclusive CEO

Exclusive Networks announced the appointment of Jesper Trolle as CEO.

Trolle joins Exclusive from ECS Arrow Electronics, where he is currently President of the Americas, and will be responsible for driving the next phase of growth at the company and upscaling the business. Trolle takes over from Olivier Breittmayer who becomes a non-executive Board member of Exclusive. The move is part of a planned succession strategy and Trolle will work alongside Breittmayer for the next three months to ensure a smooth transition.

Exclusive Networks holds virtual event

Exclusive Networks will hold its first ever week-long virtual event, the Exclusive Networks Festival, from 6-10 July.

Following last year’s Exclusive Networks Summit, it’s claimed the festival will provide partners with the latest industry insights, spotlights on Exclusive Networks vendors and some entertainmen.

Each day of the festival will include online seminars from Exclusive Networks leaders and collaborators. Exclusive Networks’ Regional Director, UK&I, Graham Jones will launch the festivities with a discussion on turning 2020 into a success by making the most of the opportunities that present themselves and working together to reach even greater heights in 2021.

Jones said: “Exclusive Networks is committed to enabling all of our partners to stay more than one step ahead of the curve. I’m particularly looking forward to exploring how partners can harness the latest trends and behaviours and successfully up-sell into existing accounts. Exclusive Networks scores Vodafone Ireland contract

Exclusive Networks announced it has become a Strategic Partner for Vodafone Ireland to reflect its role in accelerating the creation of the network operator’s internal cybersecurity practice with a suite of managed security services delivered all the time using next-generation technology.

Exclusive said the awarding of the contract demonstrates the value of the Exclusive Networks MSSD (Managed Security Service Distributor) proposition to enable partners with the means to differentiate in the B2B market – particularly in the wake of growing threat vectors arising in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic – using innovative technologies including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet and Thales.

Exclusive Networks teams up with Tomorrow Street

Exclusive Networks is partnering with Tomorrow Street to provide its companies’ business support and access to its expansive distributions channels.

The pair say that this partnership will also provide Exclusive Networks access to new disruptive technologies and Tomorrow Streets “innovation ecosystem” [new all encompassing system, Ed.].

Exclusive Networks rolls out support hub

Exclusive Networks has rolled out a support hub to give resellers increased assistance during the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Exclusive Networks senior vice-president of marketing and communications Barrie Desmond said that with lockdown in the UK entering its third week, the consequences of the virus are starting to be felt and vendors have begun to adapt their channel programmes to provide more flexibility to partners.

He said that distributors can  play a role, and Exclusive Networks is launching a hub based around five key pillars: business continuity and sustainability, support, protection, productivity and people .

Exclusive Networks sees another growth year

Exclusive Networks has reported a year of growth, booking revenues which were up 17 percent on the previous year.

The outfit said that made €2.4 billion for 2019 – a tenth of which come from subscription-based transactions.

Exclusive Networks EVP Worldwide Sales & Marketing Andy Travers said the enterprise market changing how it consumes technology, making it an exciting time to be creating value in the channel.

Netskope goes Exclusive

Exclusive Networks UK announced a commitment from leading cloud security vendor Netskope on a new value-added sole distribution contract. The deal will support sharply rising enterprise demand for Netskope’s market-leading Security Cloud, with Exclusive Networks growing the Netskope partner base and delivering dedicated in-country expertise along with a wealth of value-creation services.

Since 44 percent of security threats now come from cloud applications and services, and more than half of DLP violations are cloud related. Netskope was built within the cloud to address the needs of a world in which cloud is pervasive and security needs to follow data wherever it goes. The Netskope Security Cloud provides visibility, and real-time data and threat protection when accessing cloud services, websites and private apps from anywhere, on any device.

Barrie Desmond steps down

banner_220x220Exclusive Networks COO Barrie Desmond has announced he is quitting the outfit and will hand over his duties to Andy Travers.

Desmond will leave the €1.75 billion revenue VAD at the end of December after a seven-years at the Paris-based firm.

Travers is a former Fortinet and RSA executive Travers, who will have a different job title of SVP worldwide sales and marketing.

Desmond said he had done his bit and he was tired. It was time for the company to have a new voice and he is pleased Andy is the guy succeeding him.

“I’ve known him 20 years, and he’s had experience at every level of the channel”, he said.

Desmond joined Paris-based Exclusive via its 2011 acquisition of VADition, and since then Exclusive has built out a global footprint, most recently expanding into the US.  Exclusive has set itself a new €10bn revenue goal under new private equity backer Permira.

Desmond said he had a lot of fun but spent a lot of energy doing it. Now the platform is set for the next chapter of this story.

“I’m going to see how my life is and in January onwards do a bit of skiing and make some decisions then. Nothing is decided from my perspective.”
