CultureAI has sticks keys in Ignition.

A UK cyber start-up, CultureAI, has teamed up with Ignition to peddle what could potentially be some controversial AI tech.

CultureAI is a “human risk management platform” which uses AI to monitor employees’ online habits and spot risky behaviour, such as using weak passwords, clicking on dodgy links, or sharing secrets on chat apps.

However, the technology opens up a can of worms about firms monitoring staff, mainly using AI. The start-up says it can use data to “transform” staff security and reduce human risk by sending alerts and interventions to the most vulnerable workers.

Illumio turns the Ignition.

Security outfit Illumio is announcing its first UK and Ireland distribution deal with Ignition.

The US-based vendor has seen growth in UK&I in the last few years and wants to double its regional investment.

Illumio VP Adrian Crawley said his company had a channel-first vendor strategy, especially in the UK and Ireland.

“In the current complex hybrid environment, many organisations have focused on replacing VPNs and figuring out the identity to connect people. However, they are realising they also need to contain potential breaches and ransomware attacks, which continue to rise despite security investments,” Crawley said.

Ignition holding on to identity after being swallowed

Ignition Technology is keeping its identity after being swallowed by Exclusive Networks.

Ignition Technology’s  Sean Remnant said Exclusive took a different approach during the take over.

He said that while the competition like to think that when a large distributor swallows you, they can take your portfolio when you disappear.

“That is probably the case in some acquisitions, but that hasn’t been the case here. This is 100% not the case. So we’ve still got separate profit and loss, separate management team. The culture is the same as it was, and we’re trying to build that Ignition entity and take it to EMEA and then take it worldwide.”

Exclusive’s Ignition starts in Europe

After a trial in Blighty, Exclusive Networks is extending its Ignition Technologies operation across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Ignition offers cyber security technologies to the channel it was acquired by Exclusive last year and the decision to expand its coverage is also an opportunity for the firm to add more depth to its senior management team

Now the operation will cover EMEA, which includes decent-sized territories, including France and the Middle East, where Exclusive already has a strong foothold.

Beyond Identity building UK channel

Passwordless security outfit Beyond Identity is building a two-tier channel approach in the UK.

The firm has signed up Distology to do its distribution in the UK and Ignition Technology to cover the Nordics and is already working with a number of resellers that specialise in password authentication.

Beyond Identity vice-president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at  Tony Shadrake said he wanted to extend the firm’s channel base by using partners.

“It’s a build-out year and we’re getting great support from corporate in the US as we build the business. So far, I think we’ve been pretty successful in our efforts, taking on Distology and Ignition, as we build out the Identity platform”, he said.

Ignition cranks up new channel platform

Ignition Technology announced the launch of Catalyst Insights, the UK’s first “Cyber-Security-as-a-Service” aggregation platform, it claims,  designed exclusively for the channel.

Catalyst Insights currently supports 15 vendors spanning endpoint assessment, breach data reporting, MFA, EDR, IT Service Desk and Contact Centre, delivered within an integrated management and reporting service.

At launch, Catalyst Insights integrates with 15 security and infrastructure management products with built-in breach data reporting and Microsoft Active Directory support to allow channel partners to create configurable solutions for both single clients and as part of an MSSP/SoC offering.

Ignition starts distribution deal with Okta

Ignition has struck a value-added distribution agreement with enterprise identity management outfit Okta for the UK and Nordics regions.

Signing Okta is part of a cunning plan for Ignition’s overall channel strategy and complements its existing portfolio and identity reference architecture.

The agreement provides resellers with something to flog to  enterprise customers looking to securely connect and manage people and technology within a complete ecosystem.

Ignition switches on Demisto in channel expansion

DemistSecurity distributor Ignition Technology today announced it has added Demisto to its portfolio as the vendor ramps up channel expansion plans for its automated incident response and security orchestration platform.

In addition to identifying and recruiting suitable reseller partners, Ignition is including Demisto in its business development team focused on lead generation, and using its technical capabilities to optimise service delivery in the UK and Northern Europe.

Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology said:  “The automated, easy-to-deploy nature of the technology is highly beneficial to customers struggling to resource their security operations centres (SOCs) amid the worsening global cybersecurity skills crisis. There is a lot of opportunity for partners to position the product with new and existing accounts, but in the first instance our approach is to focus on a few key vendor synergies and target opportunities for partners looking to develop their service offerings.”

Sporting integrations with over 180 security products and growing, the Demisto platform is already proving popular among channel partners. Its introduction to the UK market via Ignition is coinciding with the appointment of key in-region sales and technical personnel, who will work closely with Ignition to accelerate market expansion.

“With a strong channel ecosystem and security sales expertise, we are confident partnering with Ignition delivers a proven approach to supercharging our sales efforts in EMEA”, said Bob Kruse, VP Sales and Alliances at Demisto. “Ignition understands the channel opportunities around next-generation security technology and has the relationships and technical know-how to help us grow – not just in the SOC market but as we extend our proposition into security task automation and orchestration in general.”

Ignition starts Northern Europe arm

vikingSecurity outfit Ignition Technology  has created a Northern Europe division based in the Nordics & Benelux region.

Led by channel veteran Mikko Vaajamo, the new team will target cybersecurity opportunities in the large enterprise and service provider space by working closely with VARs and system integrator partners.

Peter Ledger, CEO at Ignition Technology said:  “We have harboured ambitions to expand our geographic presence for several years, but wanted the right people in place who understand the market, our technologies and why Ignition is such a unique and compelling VAD partner. As the first step in a wider European project, the Nordics & Benelux is a fantastic opportunity for us and Mikko has assembled a remarkable team to tap into the strong demand for next-generation technology. Our existing vendors are very positive about this move, and I believe it will also bring significant benefits to Nordics & Benelux-based channel players to capitalise on these solutions and the support we can provide as a true value creator.”

Mikko Vaajamo has been a prominent operator in EMEA cybersecurity markets for more than 20 years and brings significant business development experience both in value-added distribution (Securesoft, Computerlinks and Exclusive Networks) and in advisory and board roles for major global vendors. Other key members of the new Ignition Technology Northern Europe team include Markus Laaksonen, Technical Director (one of the first employees for Palo Alto Networks in the Nordics), and Marko Lindstedt, Sales Director (formerly VP North East EMEA at F5 Networks), both of whom bring considerable cybersecurity channel expertise in the Nordics and Benelux market.

Mikko Vaajamo, Managing Director Northern Europe for Ignition Technology said many integrators and service providers in the Nordics and Benelux region were eager to move forward with a ‘clean table’ approach to next-generation, cloud-based technology solutions.

“There are great commercial opportunities for reseller and vendor partners alike and I’m excited about the opportunities to expand this business in key Nordic and Benelux territories and, in time, to others throughout the whole Northern Europe region.”
