OVHcloud’s scouting for microservice maestros to boost its cloud crew

OVHcloud’s looking for some savvy partners to provide microservices to spice up it offers.

The company wants folks who can bring something extra to the table with their IaaS and Kubernetes management game.

The company is picking up on what customers are after, especially since many of them don’t have the know-how in-house. They’re eager to team up with partners who can fill that gap.

OVHcloud partner programmes boss David Devine said that as the cloud scene gets more mature, loads of mid-sized businesses are wondering how they can use cloud-native tech to push their business forward.

He said his outfit’s innovative, eco-friendly infrastructure and managed PaaS solutions had a cracking foundation, but it was on the hunt for more mates to tackle specific customer challenges.

Microservices are a hit because they make it easy for customers to manage different bits of their apps. They’re usually a step up in security, which is always a winner.

OVHcloud is keen to give partners more choices in Docker and Kubernetes, especially for customers who aren’t too knowledgeable about the dev side of things.

He said the company was interested in teaming up with channel businesses that are already knowledgeable about microservices consultancy and extra services or those that are just getting into it and need a solid infrastructure partner.

The cloud whizzes have a belter of a partner programme that’s chock-full of perks like training, short contracts, funds for market development, certifications, marketing partnerships, deal registrations, and discounts.

Devine reckons they’ve got everything in place to support those who answer their calls and want to bridge the microservices gap.

He said the company had a portfolio of top-notch IaaS and PaaS in performance and price. It was also about open standards. We’re not here to compete with our partners; we know them all personally, so we’re all about working together.

OVHcloud has been busy beefing up its offerings. It used the KubeCon Europe 2024 bash to showcase some new services for its public cloud lineup, like its Managed Rancher Service for Kubernetes management and a fresh Beta version of its Data Platform.
