Channel leader Bob Stegner installed in IT Hall of Fame

IT industry executive Bob Stegner, admired and respected by colleagues and peers for three decades of commitment to the IT channel and a willingness to help others succeed along the way, is the newest member of the IT Hall of Fame.

Stegner, senior vice president for North American marketing at SYNNEX Corporation since 2007, will be honoured during a virtual ceremony on August 6 during ChannelCon Online 2020, the conference presented by CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the global technology industry.

Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO of CompTIA said: “I can’t think of a more worthy recipient of this honour…  he industry, and particularly the SMB vertical, has grown and evolved in large part due to Bob’s efforts and leadership throughout his career.”  Thibodeaux continued. “It’s hard to imagine someone who has impacted and aided more companies and individuals than Bob. He’s a daily source of inspiration to the thousands of people who’ve had the good fortune to know him and benefit from his experience.”

Stegner’s selection to the IT Hall of Fame was universally welcomed by channel leaders.

HP senior vice president and managing director Stephanie Dismore said: “The impact that Bob has made on this industry is significant. The industry knows that Bob’s authenticity, the way that he approaches people, certainly makes him one of a kind.”
