Silver Peak launches certified deployment partner programme

Silver Peak is rolling out a global certified deployment partner programme.

The idea is to create a partner network which can deliver enterprise grade SD-WAN.

The outfit is starting the scheme with a select number of partners that have got themselves into a position to gain the sales, technical and deployment certifications. CDW, InterVision, INVITE Networks, Teneo, WWT and Xalient have all been signed up.

Silver Peak has new global field operations president

Silver Peak has appointed Ian Whiting to the role of president, global field operations.

Whiting will lead direct and indirect sales, sales operations and all aspects of the company’s go-to-market strategy for channel and service provider partners. Whiting reports directly to Founder and CEO David Hughes.

Silver Peak was recently recognised for the second consecutive year as a Leader in the Gartner 2019 “Magic Quadrant” for WAN Edge Infrastructure.

Silver Peak working with Ciena

Silver Peak has expanded its partnership with Ciena.

The idea is to use Ciena’s universal customer premise equipment (uCPE) to create new service delivery models for communications service providers (CSPs) that bring new levels of flexibility to global enterprise customers.

The Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform unifies SD-WAN, routing, segmentation and WAN optimisation into a single NFV software instance that runs on the Ciena 3906 and 3926 platforms, creating the foundation for a modern business-driven WAN edge.

Silver Peak expands channel team

SD-WAN  outfit Silver Peak bolstered its EMEA channel team with the appointments of three regional channel account managers to deepen partner engagement and drive sales growth across the UK, France and Germany. The new appointments include Wayne Newman in the UK and Ireland, Philippe Dufour in France and Sara Ramezanpour in DACH. 

The move follows the launch and expansion of the Silver Peak Partner Edge programme within the last year – including the Global Partner Edge programme, the Cloud Partner Ecosystem expansion, and the Authorised Deployment Partner (ADP) programme – the new channel account managers underscore the company’s commitment to the EMEA region and channel.  The outfit believes that the SD-Wan market is headed for a growth spurt soon.

Silver Peak teams up with NSC

SD-WAN outfit  Silver Peak announced a new partnership with NSC.  The idea is to expand its global IT services portfolio with new managed SD-WAN services powered by the business-driven Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform.

NSC serves as a single source provider, offering professional SD-WAN deployment services, white-label managed SD-WAN services to tier one and multi-national service providers and turnkey managed SD-WAN services to new and existing enterprise clients. 

Silver Peak expands cloud partner ecosystem

SD-WAN outfit Silver Peak has announced that the business-driven Unity EdgeConnect platform is now fully certified for deployment in the Google Cloud Platform Marketplace.

This means that geographically distributed enterprises can now execute multi-cloud strategies with the same network and application availability and resiliency they’ve come to expect from their EdgeConnect branch site deployments.

Silver Peak appoints three new executives

Global SD-WAN contender Silver Peak announced three new senior executive appointments as part of its future plans.

The new appointments include Ken Laversin, Chief Revenue Officer, Kathleen Swift, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Rick Valentine, Chief Customer Officer.

Silver Peak spruces up global Partner Edge programme

SD-WAN outfit Silver Peak has announced a range of sweeping enhancements to the company’s global Partner Edge programme. In addition to onboarding seasoned channel executives to lead the organisation forward, the company is making strategic investments to build the industry’s most robust and expansive SD-WAN partner programme and equip partners to drive business opportunity and growth in a hyper-growth market that industry analyst firm IDC projects will exceed USD $8 Billion in 2021.

Silver Peak signs deal with Westcon-Comstor

Silver Peak, the global SD-WAN outfit announced a global distribution agreement with Westcon-Comstor, a value-added global distributor (VAD) of security, collaboration, infrastructure and data centre gear.

Through its Westcon line of business, the distributor will offer the full portfolio of Silver Peak software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) edge solutions, including the Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform, to resellers and enterprise customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific.

By adding EdgeConnect to its portfolio, Westcon will provide resellers and enterprise customers with what it claims is a complete solution that eliminates the need for conventional branch routers. EdgeConnect uniquely unifies foundational branch network functions, SD-WAN, WAN optimisation, routing and security into a single, centrally managed, business-driven, SD-WAN edge.

Silver Peak announces new authorised deployment partner programme

banner_220x220Broadband and hybrid WAN solutions provider, Silver Peak, has announced a new Authorised Deployment Partner (ADP) programme, which is supposed to train, certify and authorise services partners to unify and manage all facets of the design, deployment and management of its Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution.

The programme has already attracted  Cavell Group, FireOwls Corporation, Geode Networks, Traversa Solutions and Velociti.

Silver Peak jacks up SD-WAN support

Silver Peak has increased its SD-WAN partner support with a new programme to foster greater knowledge about its tech.

Dubbed the Authorised Deployment Partner (ADP) programme it will train, certify and authorise a group of service partners to manage all of the aspects of the firms Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN offering.
