Babble gets more cloudy

Babble has snapped up comms solutions provider Midland Comms and Cloudstream Technology Limited in a move to strengthen its position as a cloud service provider (CSP) in the UK.

The two new acquisitions collectively add £4.5 million in revenues, 90 per cent+ of which is recurring, according to Babble, taking its overall revenue run rate past £100 million annually.

The two acquisitions will see more than 30 new employees join Babble.

Midland Comms has been serving SMEs across the Midlands for nearly 50 years, providing communications solutions to over 500 customers.

Babble snaps up TechQuarters

Babble has just written a cheque for Microsoft partner TechQuarters, as it pushes into the comms space.

The MSP yesterday announced it had acquired TechQuarters to bolster its expertise across Office 365, Sentinel and Azure.

It claimed that the deal would “accelerate Babble’s move from being the UK’s leading cloud comms player to the leading cloud service provider in comms and IT.

Babble snaps up more companies

Babble has picked up Gateshead-based mobile services provider Corporate Wardair (CWL) and Chester-based telecoms and IT service provider Avandda in a double buy out.

The outfit has bought 27 companies since 2019, with 12 of those coming in the past year.  The company said it wanted CWL and Avandda to bolster the mobile and comms.

Babble close to buying Activereach

Cloudy Babble wants to buy activereach as part of its cunning plans to improve its security and connectivity products.

Formed in 2008, activereach is a provider of cybersecurity and connectivity solutions and serves customers across the UK.

The deal is the cloudy comms provider’s seventh acquisition of this year.

Babble chief executive Matt Parker said: “This deal is one of the most exciting things we have done as a business and it enhances us with amazing people and new technological capability. Bringing activereach into Babble is a huge step forward in the growth of the Cyber portion of our business and with this new expertise we’re equipped to further help our customers.”

Babble makes its sixth acquisition this year

Cloudy comms provider Babble has made a double acquisition making it the sixth this year.

The London-based business has acquired Berry Telecom and Cavendish Communications Group. The companies have 2,400 customers between them. Babble claims acquiring the companies gives their customers the chance to “enhance their technology and switch to cloud-based services”.

CEO Matt Parker said: “Berry and Cavendish have a strong track record of providing their customers with an exceptional level of service. Where we will add value is bringing even more innovation and variety with the technology we can offer.

Babble doubles with extra Yorkshires and Biscuit

Comms provider Babble has strengthened its presence in Yorkshire and Essex  by completing another double acquisition.

The London-based outfit has acquired Yorkshire Telecom and Biscuit IT, and Basildon-based mobile services provider ADSI.

Biscuit IT has been part of Yorkshire Telecom since 2016 and the joint business serves 390 customers across the north of England in a range of sectors, Babble said.

O2 partner ADSI, meanwhile, serves 4,650 customers across the south-east of England and London with 30,000 O2 mobile connections – making Babble’s mobile division the UK’s second largest O2 dealer, the company claims.

Babble gets Active

Babble has acquired unified comms provider Active as part of its drive to expand its presence in the North West of England.

Active has more than 500 customers and has 34 staff across its head office near Stockport and an office in Ellesmere Port.

It is a Gamma, Microsoft, Sophos and O2 partner which offers business mobile solutions and phone systems, IT support and connectivity to customers across industries including construction, transport and logistics, professional services and manufacturing.

The latest deal marks Babble’s 17th acquisition in the UK and follows on from other acquisitions in the North West of England such as its 2021 acquisition of comms partner Concert and its 2020 acquisition of Lake.

Babble in Scottish invasion

Babble has continued its acquisition spree by adding Scottish telecoms firm 8020 to its business.

Dumfries-based 8020 provides mobile, connectivity and IT services to over 750 customers across Scotland and the north of England.

Babble said the deal would provide scale to the company while delivering a Scottish presence for the business as it continues its expansion.

Babble announces three year deal with Threshold Sports

Cloudy unified comms, contact centre and cyber solutions provider, Babble has announced a  three-year deal with Threshold Sports to be the official cloud partner of the iconic Ride Across Britain (RAB).

Babble said it will use the partnership to drive tangible positive social impact, as the leading cloud technology company seeks to support young people. Over the course of the three-year deal, Babble has committed to raising in excess of £500,000 for The Prince’s Trust and The Buffalo Foundation.

The cycling challenge takes 1,000 cyclists 980-miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats, showcasing Britain’s most breath-taking scenery over nine days. A quarter of FTSE100 companies have been represented in the last three event years, with over 600 companies taking part.

Cloudy Babble increases national footprint with spending spree

Babble has increased its national footprint with acquisitions of Concert and 5 Rings.

The deals – which are the fifth and sixth completed by Babble in 2021 are designed to add scale across the North-West and the South Coast as the outfit carriers out a buy and build a strategy for its cloud technology business.

As one of the earliest adopters of UC technology, Concert has quickly grown to become a comms partner to businesses across Cheshire and the North-West. The deal further cements Babble’s presence and customer base across the region.

Babble completes its biggest cloud deployment yet

Cloud Comms, Collaboration, Contact Centre and Cyber solutions outfit, Babble, has finished its biggest digital transformation yet for WebBeds, the B2B division of Webjet Limited.

The project involved taking 22 isolated pieces of technology and amalgamating them into one global solution, the migration was successfully completed within just 24 hours, allowing 1,500 staff to access the new solutions as morning broke in their respective time zones across the globe.

The major project has transformed the leading travel wholesaler’s contact centre and telephony solutions, through the introduction of UCaaS and CCaaS solutions across 22 sites in 16 countries, eight of which were in challenging locations due to their local telco regulations.

Babble snaps up 81G Blue

Unified Comms, Contact Centre and Cyber Solutions provider, Babble, has announced it is buying 81G Blue.

The deal continues Babble’s rapid buy and build strategy. The business has completed seven deals since the start of 2020, three of which have been undertaken since backing from lead investor Graphite Capital.

With customers situated nationwide, 81G Blue is a  managed service IT solutions provider that will enhance and expand Babble’s cyber capabilities.
