Arcserve names Brannon Lacey new CEO

Data protection outfit Arcserve has named Brannon Lacey as its CEO.

The appointment comes as Arcserve wants to rapidly expand on its global top five data protection vendor position following the merger with StorageCraft in March of this year. Arcserve brings, it’s said,  much-needed data and business certainty to organisations of all sizes globally.

Arcserve offers new MSP product

Channel-based data security outfit Arcserve has improved its StorageCraft Cloud Services Basic so that MSPs can offer best-in-class cloud backup and disaster recovery services to a broader range of customers with unprecedented ROI and profit potential.

StorageCraft Cloud Services Basic now comprises 500GB backup per machine, annual retention points, and cloud portal management at a GBP18 per machine price point which also includes an on-premises data protection licence for either ShadowXafe or ShadowProtect.

The company tells us that the product means  MSPs can service a wider range of customer use cases, including small businesses and data protection for small physical and virtual workstations. Thanks to StorageCraft Cloud Services Basic, these use cases are now economically viable.

Arcserve has Renaissance

Security outfit Arcserve has named  value-added IT distributor Renaissance as a new partner to help out in the Irish market.

Hockin Arcserve’s is EMEA channel sales director

Data protection outfit Arcserve has appointed Bruce Hockin as its new EMEA Channel Sales Director.

Hockin will oversee the implementation and expansion of Arcserve’s EMEA channel growth strategy.

With more than 20 years’ experience, including senior roles at Cloud Distribution & Avnet Technology Solutions, Hockin is a well-respected channel executive with a reputation built on forging and maintaining robust partner relationships.

He said: “The IT industry in EMEA faces a unique set of challenges and opportunities ahead. Together with my team we will build on trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with our channel partners, providing them with absolutely the right support and resources to allow them to focus on their own customers, especially right now.”

Arcserve’s new channel man is Vince Blackall

Data protection firm Arcserve has appointed Vince Blackall as its new EMEA Channel Director. Again.

The company said that Blackall comes with a proven track record of delivering transformational revenue growth and sales productivity across existing and new sales teams, and will oversee the development and delivery of Arcserve’s EMEA channel growth strategy.

Scott Walker takes chief marketing officer role at Unitas Global

0Enterprise cloud outfit Unitas Global named Scott Walker as chief marketing officer.

With more than two decades of experience driving sales and marketing programs for many of the industry’s leading enterprise cloud companies, Walker will serve to strengthen Unitas Global’s position in the managed cloud services marketplace. He will report directly to Patrick Shutt, CEO of Unitas Global.

In his three years with Ericsson, Walker served as VP and Head of Cloud Infrastructure where he was responsible for a cloud infrastructure practice and launched the company’s composable hyperscale system and edge computing platforms to support IoT and 5G readiness for service providers. Before joining Ericsson, Walker served as VP of Indirect Channels and Alliances at Equinix, where he was responsible for significant growth and was part of the key team that launched the world’s first direct connection to public cloud capability with AWS. He’s also held senior level positions with ARCserve, AT&T Solutions, and Masergy.

Arcserve achieves advanced technology partner status on Amazon

amazonData backup and availability outfit Arcserve has achieved Advanced Technology Partner status in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN).

As an Advanced Technology Partner in the APN, Arcserve has to evangelise cloud innovation with AWS.

ArcserveVP of Products Oussama El-Hilali said the company focuses on protecting heterogeneous environments, and working with AWS is a natural extension of that philosophy.
