ScanSource snaps up intY

ScanSource has bought UK-based cloud services distributor intY.

Bristol-based, intY runs a cloud aggregation and distribution platform called CASCADE.

ScanSource says intY will provide partners with another way of selling strategic cloud services from the VAD’s principal vendors such as Microsoft, Symantec, and Acronis.

In a statement, Scansource said that the move gives sales partners market-leading capabilities to aid in the growth of their recurring revenue practices.

“ScanSource is creating additional value for sales partners – whether they are launching a cloud practice or seeking new ways to maximise revenues from existing or net-new subscriptions. CASCADE takes the friction out of acquiring, provisioning and managing as-a-service offerings.”

ScanSource CEO Mike Baur added that intY’s CASCADE Partner Insights tool would also help partners to sell better and manage their recurring revenue business.

“CASCADE serves as the next piece in our continuing digital strategy and provides partners with critical capabilities, including software provisioning, data analytics, seat management, billing and support, so partners can sell more strategic cloud solutions and build strong recurring revenue practices,” he said.
