Internet marketing outfit Yomdel has announced that Simon Taylor has been appointed as its new marketing director.
Taylor joins Yomdel from WDMP, where he was a board director and strategic marketing partner to big brands such as Hiscox, Tesco Bank, Wyevale Garden Centres, The Gym Group, and previously with Land Rover and Jaguar.
The news comes following a busy year for Yomdel, having launched My Valuation Blind Spot at the end of 2018, the latest arm of its mystery shopping business targeted at estate agents. However, Simon’s appointment now enables Yomdel to accelerate its expansion plans over the year ahead, projects that include expansion into new sectors, further innovation and implementation of 24/7 managed communications through additional media channels and even international development, the company claims.
Simon Taylor, said: “Yomdel has already been making waves as one to watch and their digital disruption of traditional communication channels is one of the reasons the position appealed to me. The way customers interact with a business has changed drastically over a few short years, and the consumer is no longer at the mercy of a company’s opening hours or capacity, mainly where initial enquires are concerned. The challenge for any business today, regardless of size, is how to ensure they maximise every channel available, to harvest every possible enquiry and lead, by optimising the customer’s experience at every moment of their journey.”
Yomdel CEO, Andy Soloman, said: “Having established ourselves as a market leader with a firm foundation within some UK sectors, we’ve earmarked 2019 as the year we kick on with our wider plans. Bolstering our team sheet was always going to be the first step and Simon brings the expertise required to take our business to the next level with the implementation of a sustainable but ambitious growth strategy.”
