VMware’s big euro expansion

VMware is beefing up its game across Europe, chucking nine new spots into its distribution deal with TD SYNNEX – Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, and Turkey,

This means TD SYNNEX’s mates can get their paws on all the subscription goodies VMware’s dishing out. And get this: They’re throwing in some extra treats like boot camps, webinars, and all sorts of stuff to get the partners up to speed on the latest cloud and virtualisation tricks.

TD SYNNEX advanced solutions boss Jason Boxall said this is good news for the big sellers and the smaller fish to get stuck into TD SYNNEX’s resources and clued up on hybrid cloud and virtualisation.

However, this needs some context. Broadcom’s been giving VMware’s partner network a haircut since it gobbled it up. VMware told its partners to sign up again late last year or jog on. And if you’re not one of the giant partners, you can forget about trying to nab deals with the top accounts—VMware’s keeping those for itself.

This has left many loyal VMware partners by the wayside.
