Total Computers has bought cloud and digital transformation firm OverBright.
OverBright is a provider of cloud and digital transformation services to the public and private sectors and Total says the deal is part of its strategy of focusing growth on IT solutions and services.
Total said it has already revealed strong growth in its managed services business as part of a 30 per ent year-on-year growth in group turnover to £91 million.
Total MD Aidan Groom said the future of the company was in providing customers with end-to-end IT services.
“OverBright has exceptional technical capabilities, and the acquisition is a logical fit with our business: it fits with our strategic direction, it fits very well with the skills customers are looking for, and it fits with the scale of customers we’re increasingly working with.”
The purchase was concluded on the 18 July for an undisclosed sum and includes equity and a long-term role in Total’s leadership team for OverBright owner Kevin Goodall.
Goodall said: “Digital transformation and cloud initiatives have been topics high on CIO agendas for several years now, and only further accelerated by global events. After delivering these projects there is an ongoing need for the skills required to keep cloud and workspace technologies optimised and secure and this is another core competency of ours.
“Progressive organisations are already seeking business advantage through DevOps and Automation projects, and this looks set to be the next big wave of work.”
