Crock of gold for Amazon Web Services tips up

Amazon Web Services’ quarterly sales have topped $10 billion for the first time increased by 33 percent.

An an earnings call Amazon CFO Brian Olsavsky said that the AWS business has been protected by its diverse customer base during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“What we’re seeing post-COVID is it varies by industry I think probably where we’re a bit well positioned is that we have such a breadth of customers. There’s millions of active customers from start-ups, to enterprises, to public sector. So there’s a lot of variance. “In individual industries are seeing right now, things like videoconferencing, gaming, remote learning, entertainment all are seeing much higher growth and usage”, he said.

Content delivery Cloud market continues to grow

A title like that for a report surely makes the alphabet groan.

The investment spike will give “thrust” to the market’s transformation, letting traditional providers counter challenges posed by new services. Existing companies in the global cloud content delivery network market are paying more attention to new stuff to bust possibilities of security breaches and efficiently compete in the overall market, the report said.

Partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures have kept prospects bright for the players in the global cloud content delivery network market.

Regionally, big vendors will “catapult” North America to the head of the ratpack. Besides this, Asia Pacific is likely to show tremendous growth during the forecast period.

The demand for low-latency and high-quality digital data has increased. The report reckons that the “global society” is increasingly communicating, buying, relaxing, transacting, and learning using the internet, the demand for building efficient cloud content delivery network will rise. As traffic in video streaming grows, quality of services provided will be very important.

Cloudreach gets its paws on Cloudamize

shark_attack_painting-t2 (1)Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure partner Cloudreach have written a cheque for the cloud migration platform Cloudamize.

Cloudreach was acquired by private equity giant Blackstone earlier this year and signalled it was set for aggressive organic and inorganic growth.

Cloudamize automates a lot of processes involved in planning and migrating businesses to the cloud and provides Cloudreach with a tool to develop to automate a lot of these processes and combine the software.

A spokesman said that from an efficiency and a cost perspective it is cheaper to do that than have hundreds of people in a low-cost location.

Cloudamize has built up its own ecosystem of channel partners over its five-year life, which will still have access to the Cloudamize platform.

Cloudreach has also developed its own software internally, which could use the Cloudamize channel in the future.

Cloudamize’s development team is in India and Cloudreach will continue to invest in this part of the business, as well as in Cloudreach’s own software capabilities.
