Channel and managed services group SYNAXON has formed a new partnership with Layer 8, a specialist practitioner in security behaviour change.
The agreement gives SYNAXON UK members access to a specialist set of services that will let them deepen and improve knowledge and awareness of the problems around digital security and data protection, and encourage best practice – amongst their own staff and their customers.
Mike Barron, Managing Director of SYNAXON UK, said that the partnership with Layer 8 is part of a longer-term plan to equip members with the capabilities they need to give the best advice to customers and set themselves apart in a busy market.
“SYNAXON UK exists for the benefit of its members – and as part of that, it’s our duty to give them access to the opportunity to develop new skills and ways to add value and differentiate. Our partnership with Layer 8 puts the focus firmly on getting people talking about and collaborating on security with the aim of reducing risk. That sounds simplistic, but as any reseller that has tried to talk to customers about digital protection and security policies will tell you, it’s actually extremely challenging as it often means developing a complete change of the customer’s mindset”, he said.
Layer 8 provides frameworks, training, measurement, and consultancy, all which is brought together to enable the partner to provide a complete picture of their digital security posture – its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and potential threats. All of this is delivered within a modern context in which it is recognised that the way people acquire knowledge and stay up to date has changed, it’s claimed.
The Layer 8 Toolkit, available as an app on Android and iOS, or via the web, provides information in small, bite-sized chunks. To get customers started, Layer 8 is offering to provide SYNAXON UK members with ten licences for its toolkit, free of charge, for 60 days. This will enable them to trial the product themselves and with their prospects.
