HPE has appointed Lewis Simmonds as its new channel sales leader responsible for its Platinum, Gold and Silver partners.
Lewis Simmonds joined the original Hewlett Packard as an account director in 2004.
Simmonds said: “I’m excited to accept the role of UK channel sales leader and to further my career with this opportunity at HPE. I’m looking forward to driving our channel forward in my new role as we scope not only for today but for the channel of the future.”
To scope is an example of many nouns in the English language that can be verbed up. Simmonds will manage field and inside channel sales teams, specialist storage and hyperconverged teams.
In a statement, the company said that Simmonds bought a huge experience and connectivity to HPE’s channel, a passion for cultivating a winning culture, and has proven success in developing sales talent.
Last year HPE merged its sales teams together under the leadership of former channel boss Mark Armstrong, who is now UK sales vice president.
