Red Hat has announced significant updates to its partner programme, which it claims will provide its partners with greater simplicity, choice, and flexibility.
The open-source solutions vendor emphasised the necessity for coordinated cross-collaboration among multiple technology vendors and solution providers.
Today, Red Hat unveiled the first wave of updates to its Partner Programme, anchored in three core pillars:
- A globally standardised partner programme designed to facilitate more straightforward and transparent transactions, guided by a tiering framework based on partner engagement, expertise, and performance.
- Streamlined partner incentives applicable across all partner types to help build and accelerate partner business pipelines.
- An enhanced digital experience, providing unified tooling and access to critical resources for partners via Red Hat Partner Connect.
Red Hat anticipates that these changes will enable partners to accelerate revenue realisation, engage in collaborative activities, and reduce friction through an improved partner experience in transacting, building, and managing with Red Hat.
Red Hat is introducing a modular design to its partner programme. The programme allows partners to earn points for specific activities aligned with their business goals. The first three modules—Resell, Distribution, and Sell With—are now available.
Partners can self-select activities within each module based on priorities, accelerating business growth and profitability. As partners accumulate points through these modules, they can qualify for additional benefits, tailored support, and enhanced opportunities corresponding to their level of engagement.
With this initial launch, Red Hat is implementing a standardised deal registration process globally, enabling partners to register opportunities for additional discounts and support. Additionally, Red Hat has enhanced its MDF tools and methods to facilitate more accessible access to further funding based on partners’ module activities.
This initial launch of the Resell, Distribution, and Sell With modules establishes the foundation for the Red Hat Partner Programme. New modules will be introduced throughout the year and beyond to support further partner activities across build, sell, and service business motions.
