Open saucy Red Hat is shaking up its partner programme to make it easier, better, and faster for partners to cash in.
The company is rolling out new tools to help partners work together and get their paws on the hottest technology, training, and resources.
A new report by IDC says that 70 per cent of tech sellers will follow a customer-led approach by 2025, meaning they have to team up with partners to offer the best solutions, services, and flexibility that customers want now.
Red Hat wants to be ahead of the game by simplifying its partner model to make it clear and fair for everyone in the ecosystem and to focus on the customer’s needs.
Red Hat’s Penny Philpot said that partners make up over 70 per cent of Red Hat’s business.
“Our motto is ‘customer first, partner always’ and we mean it. The Red Hat partner ecosystem is special because we are experts, working on the coolest new tech from edge to AI to cloud.”
The programme makeover matches Red Hat’s goals of growing cloud, boosting partner skills, and offering more integrated products over the next 2-3 years.
Philpot says that the aim is to build, connect and spark an open partner ecosystem, work simply and honestly, create solutions and speed up partner business growth.
The Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Programme is for partners who want to work with commercial customers, including mid-market and SMB.
It’s made to give partners the power to lead the customer journey using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and OpenShift.
To back up the new model, Red Hat is spending big on making expertise and solutions easier to get for partners.
This includes a demo platform that lets partners try out products and workshops before anyone else.
The Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program is only for those invited and eligible partners around the world. The demo platform will be ready in May 2024.
