QBS has snapped up the small French value-added software distributor Siener Informatique.
Based in Ivry-sur-Seine, Siener Informatique employs ten employees and distributes to 20 software multimedia, development, network and comms companies.
The company that appeared in 1990 and saw a steady growth for 25 years. It offers services like training, software deployment, installation and migration of mail servers and rest.
QBS Software said the acquisition was made to improve the service provided by QBS to international resellers such as Computacenter, SCC, and Insight. It said that much of its business comes from key partners who have an international presence and many of its software companies want to expand internationally which will be possible as a result of the take-over.
Last year, the British wholesaler made a turnover of about 60 million pounds.
Siener Informatique will retain its brand image and its management in the short and medium term. QBS is rumoured to be looking for new acquisitions in Europe, particularly in France.
