PCC goes virtual

The Partner Community Council today announced that its EMEA Conference 2020 will take place online. This free event is aimed at enabling Avaya partners across the UK and Europe to continue help partners learn about the new tools, processes and portfolio to drive new business. This event will be delivered on Avaya’s Spaces collaboration tools in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The conference, originally scheduled to take place face-to-face in Manchester, will run from April 20 to 22. The virtual event will be available via Avaya Spaces, a cloud-based meeting and team collaboration platform that enables employees to connect remotely. Spaces contains an extensive set of features, including voice and video conferencing for up to 500 participants both in office and on-the-go.

The Spring iteration of PCC EMEA will provide Avaya partners with the most up-to-date information on ‘the future of business’, including access to some of the most advanced communication and collaboration tools in the market. A recent report indicated the video conferencing market would expand by 8.4 percent annually between now and 2027, research that does not even reflect the impact of the pandemic.

Avaya  Senior Leader – Client Service Management Team Paul McGarry said: “While most organisations have already transitioned to virtual collaboration, the name of the game is empowering them to get the most out of that technology to remain competitive as the economy changes and the lasting impact from this crisis starts to emerge.”

During the event, keynote speakers such as Nidal Abou-Ltaif (President, Avaya International), Fadi Moubarak (Vice President – Channels, Avaya International), and Ahmed Helmy (Vice President – CTO, Avaya International) will draw on how partners can help healthcare organisations leverage data analytics and effective mechanisms to coordinate with other agencies, the private sector and international partners to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 and future pandemics.

Avaya has been working with partners across the UK and Europe to deploy Spaces for customers adapting to the outbreak, and has observed a 700 per cent increase in traffic since January. This includes Westcon UK, which is using Spaces to ensure total business continuity for employees and ensuring they can meet and collaborate with partners and vendors as usual.

The event will run from 8:45AM to 1:15PM (GMT+1) from Monday to Wednesday April 20-22. Interested delegates can register to attend for free here.
