NTT DATA UK&I hires Massimo Fatato

IT services provider and consultancy NTT DATA UK&I has appointed Massimo Fatato as the new Head of Networks.

The appointment is part of NTT DATA’s investment into strengthening its telco business, with Fatato heading up work in OSS Transformation, Telco Cloud and public and private 5G network areas.

Fatato joins NTT DATA with a wealth of experience and knowledge thanks to a career spanning more than 30 years in the telecoms industry.

His career began as a Systems Engineer at Telecom Italia, where he led the design of its OSS, one of the first European carrier deployments, before moving on to Nortel, where he started as a System Engineer and rose through the ranks to become an Account Director.

Before joining NTT DATA, Fatato worked for HPE, running its partner organisation for the Telco Business Unit in EMEA, General Manager for HPE OSS Business Unit and Sales Director for HPE Network BU in EMEA, where he facilitated the launch of a Network as a Service offering for telecom service providers, and devised and executed the Next-Gen OSS and Orchestration strategy for HPE.

Fatato will lead NTT DATA’s efforts to grow its telco business in the UK.

Fatato said: “I am pleased to have joined the NTT DATA team, and I’m very much looking forward to expanding our relationships with clients and partners in the network space. I aim to deliver value to our clients in their transformation journey to a full digital Service Provider and Enterprises and use the experience to help grow the NTT DATA Network Practice business.”

NTT DATA UK&I Head of Telco, Media and Technology Keith McAleese said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Fatato into our team here at NTT DATA. His experience will bring invaluable insights to our business, which is critical as we have ambitious goals for growth in the coming years. This new hire deepens our network expertise and demonstrates that we are committed to having the best service and talent available to our clients as we forge long-lasting partnerships with them.”
