M2 the managed print operation that SCC acquired five years ago will now be merged into its core business and “never be met with again”.
The move will create SCC Managed Print & Document Services. Under SCC ownership the M2 business has seen growth and been in a position to tap into a market for managed print services that have been experiencing increasing demand.
M2 grew with the acquisition last year of the business processing outsource division of the Hobs Group, which was renamed M2 Managed Document Services to sit alongside the M2 managed print business.
John Taylor, formerly CEO of M2, will take up a senior leadership role in the Rigby Group with Damien Baker being appointed the managing director of SCC Managed Print & Document Services.
James Rigby, Chief Executive of SCC, said his company’s acquisition of M2 was hugely successful and our shared capabilities have had a substantial impact on overall service delivery capability.
“Now is the right time to formally merge M2 into the SCC business as we continue to grow and evolve our combined Managed Print & Document Services. The MPDS market has been on convergence with IT for many years; together as one, the business is well placed to seize the opportunity these trends present”, he added.
