Logicalis has snapped up a 30 percent stake in Kumulus, a company specialising in cloud and data managed services. With this investment, Logicalis strengthens its ability to assist its cloud business.
Kumulus was founded in 2017 by former Microsoft engineers with expertise in cloud computing, application modernisation, DevOps, and data analytics, including machine learning and AI. Headquartered in Brazil, Kumulus is a player in public cloud services, having its team of experts certified by Microsoft and AWS. The company has migrated dozens of customers to the cloud and has been sustaining cloud environments for companies of different sizes in various industries.
Robert Bailkoski, Logicalis Group CEO, said: “We are witnessing an acceleration in the rollout of cloud-based solutions as clients adopt more agile infrastructure that allows them to scale up or down in line with demand. With the acquisition of this stake in Kumulus, Logicalis will enrich its cloud services capabilities, allowing our customers to gain maximum benefit whilst ensuring the efficient operation of their hybrid IT environment.”
Kumulus has expertise in managed services, which includes IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings. This, combined with Kumulus’ strong capabilities in application modernisation, DevOps, and data migration into the cloud from ERP, CRM and legacy systems, will reinforce Logicalis’ capabilities to deliver a migration solutions to its customers while also aggregating managed services, according to each customer’s specific needs.
