Computacenter’s group CCO Kevin James has exited the company after 32 “amazing” years.
James told his Linkedin friends that he wanted to spend more time with his family, a little more time on the golf course and “seeing much more of the world” following his departure from Computacenter.
James joined Computacenter in 1990 as a general manager/regional sales manager. He became director of industry and corporate in 2005, director of services and solutions in 2011 and UK managing director in 2015 before becoming group chief commercial officer in 2017.
The year that James joined, Computacenter had a turnover of £201.99 million and operating profits of £10.29 million. Last year, the business produced revenues of £6.7 billion and adjusted earnings before tax of £255.60 million.
“I have experienced years and years of delighted customers, powerful partnerships, services evolution, continual growth (profits doubled in last three years) and expansion across the world – all achieved through a relentless focus on delivering lifetime value for our customers and partners”, he said.
“This great company is in a stronger and better position than ever. I doubt Computacenter will continue to fully ‘live’ our #winningtogether values… So, as a shareholder, I will keep watching that evolution with pride, knowing that the best years are ahead, not behind. They will keep doing what they do, keep being who they are and keep enjoying the “Infinite Game” that they play incredibly well.”
