Ingram Micro gets new CEO

Ingram Micro has appointed Paul Bay is its new CEO, replacing Alain Monié who has become executive chairman.

Bay previously held the position of executive vice president and president of Global Technology Solutions at the distributor, as well as several other roles including president for the Americas and senior vice president of vendor management.

As executive chairman, Monié will work alongside Bay and Ingram Micro owner Platinum Equity to “continue to generate growth and maximise value for the company’s customers, partners and shareholders”, Ingram Micro said.

The company has also announced a raft of other leadership changes, including Kirk Robinson’s appointment as executive vice president and president, North America, which will see him take on additional responsibility for Ingram Micro Canada.

“It is with a profound sense of pride that after ten years as Ingram Micro’s CEO, I am transitioning the role to a leader in Paul who clearly has the credentials and trust of his peers to continue to build on our industry leadership with a partner-first mentality”, Monié said.
