Ignition Technology has launched its end-to-end Identity Platform after signing a new UK VAD agreement with BeyondTrust.
Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology (pictured), said: “Identity is rapidly maturing as a key business issue for mid-market organisations; especially since Gartner ranked PAM as its top security project for CISOs in 2019. PAM is an essential solution in its own right, but increasingly forms part of a wider customer engagement about the whole Identity challenge. We are delighted to bring BeyondTrust into the fold as the final piece of the Platform jigsaw; a widely respected PAM market leader with its technology alliances already in place with vendors from our existing portfolio. Most crucially of all, BeyondTrust and its PAM technology are channel friendly, hence its support for our Platform initiative to simplify and accelerate Identity opportunities for reseller partners.”
The firm said that the complex nature of Identity projects has traditionally made PAM project opportunities the preserve of large consultancy firms targeting major corporations in finance and related sectors. Today, with mid-market customers across the board increasing their demand for these solutions, analysts forecast the global market opportunity to be worth £11.5 billion currently, rising to as much as £35 billion by 2021 (IAM alone will be worth £11.5 billion by 2021).
“There is a fantastic opportunity for committed partners who engage with our Platform approach and take advantage of our commercial and technical support around Identity solutions and value-added services”, said Remnant.
Tobie Kottman, Director of Channels and Alliances EMEA at BeyondTrust said: “The decision to appoint Ignition and adopt a two-tier strategy is key to our UK channel approach, which we believe will accelerate revenue growth through closer engagement with a cohort of select partners. We found Ignition to have a compelling and credible understanding of the Identity stack; they speak our language and share a bold outlook on the huge Identity and PAM opportunities emerging from the UK mid-market. BeyondTrust’s PAM solutions are already widely deployed alongside other Ignition Identity vendor solutions. We are pleased to extend this collaboration via Ignition’s Identity Platform and look forward to converting a strong pipeline of business across target verticals.”
Optiv CTO & Head of Strategy Andrzej Kawalec said that Identity was pivotal to the security and compliance challenges facing mid-sized and large organisations, but the requisite skills to source and integrate elements of an Identity architecture are scarce. Ignition’s Identity Platform will be a game-changer for partners gaining access to Identity-related opportunities. CISOs know that each successive wave of new technology adoption and digital transformation is – by definition – riskier than the last, and need partners to apply a proven framework for Identity solutions and services.
“As organisations accelerate their digital transformation Fujitsu believes that locking in internal users and customers to a single cloud or SAAS vendor can lead to a compromise in functionality & agility. Accordingly, we feel that the concept of ‘trust’ and a secure digital identity not only reduces risk but allows for actual benefit realisation in areas such as technical agility, commercial flexibility and business resilience.
Fujitsu UK&I Alex Shearer, Head of Enterprise & Cyber Security Sales said: “Fujitsu is investing significantly in our Identity practice with market-leading technologies, professional and managed services. Throughout this investment process, we have received huge support from our strategic partners, Ignition, for technology and market insight, training and marketing.”
