Network security outfit EfficientIP has started a new channel initiative to be led by Gary Bootland as its new Channel Manager for Northern Europe.
EfficientIP’s Northern European territory includes the UK and Ireland as well as the Nordic region, Benelux, the Netherlands, and South Africa.
In his new role, Bootland will develop and run a regional channel strategy across all territories, providing network solutions. He will be educating partners and resellers on EfficientIP’s technologies to simplify the management and reinforce protection of critical network services for customers.
Bootland said: “It’s an increasingly threatening landscape organisations are operating in today. DDI is without a doubt essential to protecting networks, yet often goes overlooked. This is despite research showing network attacks have risen in cost by 57 per cent. As customers undergo digital transformation to adapt, I see tremendous opportunity to grow the Northern European business through the channel.”
EfficientIP has enhanced its Smart Partner Programme by simplifying the onboarding process, and training sales and technical teams. The idea is to allow partners to better serve their customers by offering faster, more advanced solutions designed for enterprises, service providers and government agencies looking to address the challenges of business transformation projects such as data protection, mobility and cloud.
The partner programme offers resellers direct access to EfficientIP’s vast array of sophisticated integration capabilities, with best-of-breed network security and automation solutions. The strategic alliance ecosystem features complementary technologies from Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, RedHat, and ServiceNow. Partners of EfficientIP are provided:
- Technical and sales training across EfficientIP’s DDI solutions
- Rewarding incentive programs
- Access to sales, marketing and technical resources
- Sales lead development
- Value-added support services: hardware replacement and TAC access 24/7
Bootland brings more than 20 years of network technology and partner program experience to the table, beginning his career with IBM’s youth apprentice scheme at 16. He later joined Symantec, gaining enterprise sales experience in all things cyber security, but infrastructure and network security in particular.
He joins EfficientIP from Portnox where he was the first employee in a channel management role to work outside the US/Israeli territory. There he focused on building his pre-existing channel and vendor relationships, leading teams through plan development, partner identification and on-boarding. Bootland plans to pour out his passion for security, educating Northern European partners on the company’s dedicated DNS security solution. This is in addition to DDI and the varied discussions around automation of core network services.
