Daisy has appointed its CFO Neil Thompson as its new CEO.
Thompson joined Daisy as CFO in 2021 after being CFO of Manchester Airport Group. He has worked with Daisy’s founder and chairman Matthew Riley in leading a “strategic review” of the business and charts its next phase of growth.
According to a Daisy press release Thompson has a wealth of experience in delivering growth across executive teams and industry sectors in both public and privately-owned businesses.
Riley said: “We’re delighted to appoint Neil as CEO as Daisy embarks on the next stage of its growth journey. Daisy is really well-positioned to continue to grow and enable smarter IT, comms and cloud solutions for businesses across the UK.”
Thompson said: “I’m thrilled to be appointed as CEO working with Matthew Riley, ARES, Oakley Capital, and everyone within the Daisy Group on its next phase of growth. It’s an exciting time for the technology sector and there are significant growth opportunities. I’m really looking forward to leading the team, as we take Daisy to the next level building upon its strong platform as a UK market leader.”
Daisy went through an 18-month demerger across 2019 and 2020 which saw its three channel businesses, Daisy Wholesale, Daisy Distribution and Daisy Worldwide, merge under a single brand called Digital Wholesale Solutions.
It also span out Daisy Partner Services business as an independent company called Allvotec.
