Crown Commercial Service calls £4 billion tender

The Crown Commercial Service called a £4 billion tender for suppliers to provide digital specialists for a two-lot framework that will be accessible by government and public sector departments.

“Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the authority intends to put in place a pan-government collaborative agreement for the provision of digital, data and technology (DDaT) specialists and facilitate large-scale digital transformation programmes,” the tender states.

Lot one of the framework is called Digital Programmes and requires supplier staff to “deliver strategic objectives through groups of projects that involve research, test, design, build, release, iteration, support and/or retirement of digital services, outcomes and deliverables”.

Services mentioned in the framework include DevOps support, digital definition, end-to-end development, data management and more.

The second lot, titled Digital Specialists, will provide buyers with “individual digital, data and technology (DDaT) specialists at identified roles to deliver specific outcomes on a service, programme or project”.

Suppliers must only provide specialists from their own existing team or through identified key subcontractors, the tender said.
