Insecurity outfit Bitdefender, has named Emilio Roman as Vice President of EMEA sales, to drive the company’s growth objectives.
Roman will be responsible for Bitdefender’s sales strategy and go-to-market execution in EMEA.
A successful executive with more than 20 years of experience leading high-performance global teams, Emilio Roman has broad cybersecurity and cloud industry experience and has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, in the execution of fast scaling business strategies.
His appointment, the company said, supports the company’s growth across the EMEA region and builds on Bitdefender’s commitment to channel development and rapid expansion in the business-to-business market. Emilio will be leveraging the increased need for cybersecurity, generated by significant shifts in how companies are operating, and the opportunities generated by the market consolidation, in recent years.

Bitdefender has enjoyed high growth for the past five years, based on the B2B market. In the past year, the company redesigned its channel offering, adding two new business lines in response to growing demand from customers requiring Network Security Analytics and Managed Detection and Response solutions.
