Air IT has gobbled up another rival firm.
The Nottingham-based outfit has invested in SCS Technologies, a Lincoln-based company that provides IT support to small and medium-sized businesses.
This is the 12th takeover by Air-IT since 2020, following its swoop on Yorkshire’s Vital Technology Group last year.
Air-IT boss James Steventon said the deal will boost his firm’s services and profits.
He said SCS was a great team that knew their stuff and shared Air IT’s passion for delivering top-notch service and Microsoft products.
SCS chief Matthew Stead praised Air IT as the country’s best IT partner for SMEs.
He said SCS had been in the game for 30 years, and we’ve built a solid reputation in our region. But joining Air-IT will take us to the next level, as they have the skills, the expertise, and the clout to make things happen.”
Air IT was founded in 2005 by Todd McQuilkin, who sold it to August Equity in 2019. John Whitty, a former GCI and Solar Communications bigwig, replaced him.
Air IT offers IT support, cloud services, modern workplace solutions, cybersecurity, and business intelligence. It claims to have more than 1,000 clients across various legal, financial, and manufacturing sectors.
