Air IT snagged Edinburgh-based SoConnect, which means more reach in Scotland, new know-how, and a wider circle of customers.
By bringing the new Scottish crew on board, Air IT’s team has grown to 570, allowing it to offer a full suite of services to thousands of small and medium-sized business customers.
SoConnect said it is jazzed about getting into Air Sec, the top-notch security service cooked up by Air-IT.

He’s stoked about their skills match-up, especially with their deep dive into Microsoft cloud and communication solutions, adding, “We’re very much looking forward to having them on board.”
SoConnect leader Gordon Sayers said the partnerships will open up a world of chances for its clients.
“This acquisition not only expands our horizons but also enriches our capabilities and opens up exciting opportunities for growth and innovation,” he said.
After shaking hands on the deal, Campbell Fraser, who kicked off SoConnect in 2011, is stepping back from the executive chair gig. He’s not going far, though—he’ll stick around to help Sayers and the Air IT squad grow the business in Scotland. But that’s pretty much the only switch-up, with the SoConnect team keeping things rolling just like before.
Air IT wrapped up its 12th buyout in just four years this past March, scooping up SCS as part of its strategy to keep building and buying its way to a top spot across the UK. They’ve been in the game since 2005, but these last four years have been all about snapping up other MSP businesses to climb up the UK market ladder.
