Tech Data been swelling the ranks of its services team as it makes further investment in what it thinks is a key growth area for its partners.
Six new members have joined the team recently, and the company said that there is further recruitment to come.
The team’s new members will boost support to partners around Tech-as-a-Service, configuration services, and B2C finance, principally the Tech Data Easy Upgrade programme, which enables retailers and websites to offer easy subscription payment options on new devices.
The team is being expanded to meet the growing demand for the services offering, drive further awareness of what’s available, and pave the way for the introduction of new services over the coming months.
Tech Data, UK and Ireland services director, Mark Glasspool said: “Services provide an important growth opportunity for partners in terms of revenue and profit and enable them to add more value to their customers. For partners, creating new services propositions can be time-consuming and costly, and we want to make sure our partners are aware of the broad range of services that we can offer to them. ”
He said that the company had big plans for new service offerings that will extend the portfolio quite considerably. Growing the team will enable us to get a deeper engagement with partners and provide enhanced SLAs and support.
In addition, Easy Upgrade enables retailers and web stores to offer single or multiple devices – such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops – on a subscription basis.
