Datto will be hosting its second virtual MSP Technology Day on September 16.
The online event follows its first virtual MSP Technology Day in June, Datto will host its next event dedicated to the tools and technologies that are driving adoption of MSP services through the pandemic.
David Totten, CTO of US Partner Ecosystem at Microsoft, will join Radhesh Menon, Chief Product Officer at Datto, for a discussion on why now appears to be a pivotal moment for the MSP industry.
Totten said: “We are seeing small and medium size businesses more eager to accelerate their digital transformation in the wake of COVID. I am looking forward to a discussion with Datto on how MSPs will play a crucial role in providing the skills and capabilities that SMBs need to succeed, grow, and profit from this transformation.”
While Datto’s first MSP Technology Day focused on the future of RMM, this next event will take a closer look at Datto’s continuity solutions for servers, PCs, and SaaS applications. According to Datto’s 2020 Global State of the MSP Report, MSPs said that, on average, 70 percent of clients’ servers have some kind of backup solution, while only 55 per ent are protected with a full business continuity solution, and only 38 percent of endpoints are backed up.
Rob Rae, SVP business development at Datto, said: “The occurrence of natural disasters like hurricanes and forest fires, combined with a threat landscape that has capitalised on the COVID-19 pandemic, has left companies facing massive security challenges. We will address how MSPs can keep their clients up and running during times of disaster through Datto Unified Continuity.”
During the event, Datto’s Chief Technology Officer, Bob Petrocelli, will host a technical session explaining how backup works today in a hybrid environment, and specifically what would be needed for true continuity in the public cloud.
