Cloudy comms outfit 8×8 has unveiled a new partner tier called SellWith8.
8×8 has undergone significant changes at the top in the last year. In a few weeks, in June 2023, it will hire a new CEO, CFO, and CRO. The new tier will help tech partners sort out customer business problems.
The 8×8 Tech Partner Ecosystem programme lets customer-focused firms boost customer experiences by adding tech, such as AI skills, into the 8×8 platform with lasting data to improve business smarts, insights, and analytics.
The new tier will also let partners sell directly with 8×8, ramp up their market efforts, deepen their integration, and jointly fix customer headaches.
Partners in the new tier will also access the 8×8 product team directly for roadmap matching, co-creating, and joint market alignment. They will also be part of a highly selected tier of invite-only partners chosen for their fit with relevant use cases, skills, and security features.
8×8 global VP for business development and strategic partnerships Victor Belfor said: “Tech providers need to be flexible and adaptable in their solutions. Tech Partner Ecosystems are vital for all contact centre vendors, but the range of integration options is only one part of a lively ecosystem.”
“With SellWith8, 8×8 is focusing on the depth of integrations, and the exclusive nature of SellWith8 lets us give customers a carefully picked set of partners that offer deeper integrations into the platform, smooth onboarding processes, and better user experiences,” he said
Belfor said that there were three things that 8×8 looks at when picking tech partners invited to SellWith8:
“The first is relevance. In this programme, we are looking for tech partners who are a good match for most customers in our Ideal Customer Profile. We want to create significant value for both our tech partners and our customers, and for that, we need mass adoption.
“The second is commitment. Joining this programme needs a significant joint pledge from 8×8 and the tech partner, including a lot of market collaboration, making a native-like integration, etc.
“The third is that they must be uncompetitive. Partners invited to join this programme cannot have products that compete with 8×8’s products or those of other existing tech partners in the programme.”
He added that partners joining SellWith8 are critical to 8×8’s success, so it treats each relationship individually.
“SellWith8 partners benefit from a more extensive list of marketing moves to raise awareness and drive leads, including joint chances for case studies, webinars, press releases, blog posts, and more.
