Security outfit Infinigate reports increasing revenues

Cybersecurity Infinigate reported £1.9 billion in revenues for the financial year ending in March 2023.

Revenues and profits increased thanks to organic growth, acquisitions and cost savings conducive to business efficiency.

It was a busy year on the acquisition front. In 2022, Infinigate acquired Nuvias, Vuzion and Starlink distribution houses to extend its geographic reach, skill set, secure solutions, and services roster.

These acquisitions brought together more than 1,300 employees across Europe, the Middle East and Africa – an integration the distributor said is “progressing well”.

Infinigate headhunts Kaspersky’s Oudot

Infinigate has appointed Catherine Oudot as its new managing director of Infinigate France.

Oudot spend five and a half years working for cybersecurity and anti-virus provider Kaspersky building its French channel business.

In her new role, Oudot will use Infinigate’s recent acquisitions and ensure the development of its cloud solutions.

She said: “I am delighted to help our partners take advantage of the opportunities offered by a dynamic French market, supported by the strong potential of Infinigate, so that they support their customers in the digital transformation process.”

“We have a unique and innovative offer thanks to our highly specialised services and our expertise in the field of cybersecurity. I look forward to uniting the team and showing the leadership that will allow it to express its full potential.

Infinigate Group president for Europe Andreas Bechtold said: “The French market represents an extraordinary development opportunity for Infinigate.

Infinigate buys Vuzion to create cybersecurity and cloud hybrid

Infinigate has acquired  Vuzion to create a value-added distributor which combines cybersecurity and cloud services.

Vuzion is a Microsoft CSP indirect provider and cloud aggregator focusing on the SMB market. The firm also partners with vendors including Mimecast and Acronis.

More than 43 Vuzion staff will join the distributor as part of the acquisition, Infinigate claims, with Vuzion’s managing director Michael Frisby joining Infinigate as SVP of cloud services to drive Vuzion’s growth within EMEA.

The company will remain “operationally independent” for the time being and will be focused on supporting partners and helping them grow, Infinigate claims.

Rigby Group sells Nuvias’ cybersecurity and networking business

Nuvias has been acquired by Infinigate in a move which will form a pan-European player with €1.4 billion in revenues.

Nuvias’ Unified Communications business, which is based on its 2016 acquisition of Siphon, is not included in the deal and will become a separate entity under Rigby.

Rigby Group will become a shareholder in Infinigate Group following the acquisition, along with Infinigate investor Bridgepoint.

Infinigate pledges to buy out more companies

Infinigate Group has posted ‘record results’ for its financial year ending 31 March, claiming that it plans to continue an aggressive M&A strategy.

The distributor’s annual revenues were €813 million which was 26 percent up on last year and means the group is well on the way to making its €1.5 billion revenue target for 2024.

The Swiss VAD started the year strongly with its acquisition of French distributor D2B Informatique.

It said the buy was a “significant step” in its “aggressive” expansion strategy across EMEA as well as its plan to extend its market reach and consolidate its position as the “leading” distributor of cybersecurity solutions and subscriptions in the region.

Nuvias joins Global Technology Distribution Council club

Nuvias has announced an elite club of channel players called the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC).

The consortium members include Exclusive Networks, Exertis, Ingram Micro, Infinigate, CMS Distribution and Arrow Electronics are responsible for more than $150 billion of sales of products, services and solutions.

Nuvias is a $750 million company with offices across Europe, it claims.

80 percent of customers prefer vendors that provide training and education

Vendors are being called upon to provide greater education and training to resellers and distributors, new research from Kaspersky has shown.

The research said that delivering better education and training to partners should not be underestimated by vendors – qualified by the fact that 86 percent of resellers and distributors say it is important they receive guidance from the vendors on the products they are selling.

The survey, undertaken with 150 UK resellers and distributors within the channel, also highlighted that 79 percent of resellers and distributors said they prefer to work with vendors that provide education and training. Over a quarter (28 percent) said the traits they most want to see in vendors is education and training on their technology solutions, as well as the tailoring of solutions and products for clients’ specific business needs.

Kaspersky signs distribution deal with Infinigate

Russian security outfit Kaspersky has announced a new partnership with distributor Infinigate, as part of a cunning plan to increase the value-added services it offers to service providers, resellers and users.

Kaspersky said it wants to offer customers a “complete journey” rather than simply flogging cybersecurity solutions.

The deal means Infinigate can offer a complete cybersecurity portfolio to its partners that encompasses an extensive range of technologies and services, with the distributor’s emphasis on providing value-added services making it an ideal fit, the vendor said.

Infinigate UK signs distribution agreement with A10

Infinigate UK has signed a distribution agreement with A10 Networks, which will see the IT security distributor offer A10’s range of automation, AI and cloud-based cyber protection services to its partners.

Murray Pearce, managing director of Infinigate UK, said that A10 has developed “very good technology that uses the latest in automation, AI and cloud to protect against malicious cyberattacks” – such as multi-vector DDoS attacks and encrypted assaults.

Infinigate signs agreement with iboss

Infinigate UK, a specialist IT security, cloud and MSP distributor, has signed an agreement with iboss to distribute its range of cloud-based internet security solutions across the UK and Ireland.

Murray Pearce, Managing Director of Infinigate UK, said the decision to partner with iboss was an easy one as the outfit had “developed a disruptive cloud platform to secure internet access from any device, from any location, in the cloud”.

Infinigate signs pact with SonicWall

satanic pactIT security distributor Infinigate UK  has signed an agreement with SonicWall to distribute its range of real-time breach detection and prevention cybersecurity gear.

The new agreement covers the UK and Ireland and extends an already successful partnership between the two companies across nine other countries in Europe.

Murray Pearce, Managing Director of Infinigate UK, believes the decision to partner with SonicWall was an easy one since SonicWall is a key player in the unified threat management and cybersecurity sector. In addition, SonicWall’s partnership approach fits perfectly with Infinigate’s own partner-centric strategy. “The increased investment that SonicWall has made in their products, roadmap and channel tools since becoming an independent company has accelerated its technology portfolio and capability in how it supports partners. It is an exciting time to be working with the SonicWall team”, explained Pearce.

Infinigate’s plans for growing SonicWall’s channel sales include putting in place a dedicated team of technical, sales and renewals to recruit and engage partners, and create additional demand for the products. “We’ve developed a best practice methodology for recruiting and engaging partners, which is our 3xCtm Partner Success Model. Our channel network is segmented so that we can create a clear value proposition that is targeted to the right partners.

“We know from our research that SonicWall partners highly value strong technical support and services, so we have invested ahead to ensure we have really strong capability in this area”, added Pearce.

Michael Berg, Executive Director of EMEA Sales at SonicWall said: “SonicWall is excited about expanding its partnership with Infinigate. Infinigate announces new CEO

csm_klaus_schlichterle_8886a69bbeInfinigate has announced that Tech Data’s former head of German operations, Klaus Schlichtherle, has become its CEO.

Schlichtherle is replacing founder David Martinez who will be cleaning out his desk in April and become president of the board.

Martinez said that Schlichtherle was the right chap to drive Infinigate’s goal to grow from a €400 million to €1 billion company in the next five years.

“We are very happy to have won an internationally experienced manager such as Klaus Schlichtherle”, Martinez said.

“Infinigate will face another high-growth period with further international expansion and Klaus Schlichtherle brings along the required experience to manage this challenge”.

Infinigate obtained much of its growth through acquisitions. Last month it wrote a cheque for Dutch security outfit VAD Crypsys.

Klaus Schlichtherle added: “Infinigate is a strongly growing company in the IT Security sector and I am very much looking forward in taking over this exciting task of further expanding and developing the group.”

Infinigate claims to now cover “close to 80 percent of the western European IT security market’s potential”, having operations in 20 countries.
