Zoom unveiled its new London Experience Centre, which is pretty much as “in presence” as you can get.
The idea is to showcase the Zoom brand, which is crafted to excite and engage visitors with Zoom’s offerings and principles.
The centre builds on the recent opening of Zoom’s Holborn office, the Zoom Engagement Hub, in August 2023. It provides Zoom staff with a vibrant office environment that sets the standard for a modern, hybrid workplace.
The Experience Centre, a unique addition to Zoom’s portfolio, is home to the Lens Wall, a 125-foot-long ambient wall. This innovative feature, the world’s first curved LED screen with multi-touch capabilities, offers an immersive 360-degree visual experience tailored for each visitor. The ‘Boardroom of the Future,’ another standout feature, showcases the future of meeting technology with its seamless curved 8K LED screen and top-notch audio, all powered by Zoom.
Zoom’s EMEA Head Frederik Maris said: “The UK remains a gateway for Zoom into the EMEA region and is one of our most significant markets outside the US. Our fresh investment highlights Zoom’s enduring commitment to the UK, evidenced by the near doubling of our full-time staff here over the past three years. The new Experience Center stands as proof of our advanced technology and the creative possibilities Zoom can unlock, enhancing our global presence.”
The company’s UK story began in 2013, with the first office opening in 2018.
Zoom of Customer Experience Organisation head Dave Grant said: “Zoom has become a part of daily life in the UK, from supporting hybrid work to powering online classrooms and keeping families connected. Over time, Zoom’s platform has evolved to meet the UK’s specific needs, constantly innovating to deliver secure, user-friendly solutions. We owe this success to our amazing customers and partners, who we’ve been honoured to serve from the start, leading to today’s remarkable facilities.”
Zoom’s clientele in the UK includes individual users, large corporations like the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, financial giants such as HSBC, organisations like WWF, and healthcare and public sector entities, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
Zoom has partnered with the Art for Impact initiative, which connects organisations with artists to support local non-profits. Working with the Nicaraguan women’s group Las Tejedoras, NGO Casa Congo, and design firm Unispace, the Experience Center features a bespoke tapestry made from 3,500 recycled plastic bags, symbolising a call to action for environmental and social responsibility.
