Rubrik co-founder and CEO Bipul Sinha said that the channel is the key to making sure that the world’s networks are more secure.
Sinha said that the channel is a key success factor for scaling and building something epic. The channel approach has the answers to the customer’s three main concerns – rapid recovery from ransomware; automation of data operations including backup/recovery and accelerating transition to the cloud.
He said that attackers were getting through the firewalls and anti-virus products and this breakdown of perimeter security measures is driving a “zero trust” approach to cybersecurity
“Ransomware threats are getting increasingly more sophisticated and are now going straight for backup data, which can be debilitating for recovery after a cyberattack. This in turn requires that backup data be inherently secure so attackers can’t hold data hostage. Successful ransomware recovery requires a new approach for security strategies. If data is the primary target, then security measures must begin with data”, Sinha said
