Versa Networks wants to quadruple global partner network

Secure access service edge (SASE) provider Versa Networks has scored  $84 million Series D funding which is apparently going to be spent quadrupling the outfit’s channel.

Versa’s SASE platforms serve over 5,000 customers globally and it currently has  2,000 partners.

The company has just finished a  round of funding and the company has stated that it wants further growth through the channel.

The company said that it was investigating to make sure that it had the right type of partners with networking and security expertise.

Versa started to grow though resellers, system integrators, and other types of channels so it sees the channel as the way to develop and grow.

It has built a “certification programme” for potential partners, which feeds into its ACE partner programme which launched earlier this year.

Versa  channel incentives are worked out on a “region by region” basis for partners and is decided based on “input from field teams or partner teams”.

Versa said some of it would be earmarked for “new go-to-market strategies”, “new sales and partner enablement initiatives”and market targeting.

Ahuja claims the company “doubled” its subscription business year-over-year in 2020 and also hopes to add another 100 employees over the next 12 months to take its number to roughly 600.
