Tata joins Cohesity Data Security Alliance

Cybersecurity outfits form open saucy team

A group of key cybersecurity companies has allied to form a new open-source consortium to share key data.

The announcement by a group of cybersecurity companies—including Splunk, Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Okta, Trend Micro, Tanium and Zscaler, among others—revealed the launch of a new consortium called the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF).

The cunning plan is to share product-normalising data in order to improve cybersecurity. All members of the cybersecurity community are invited to use and contribute to the OCSF.

Cyber security providers benefit from EU and local regulations

Enterprises in the UK are looking to cyber security providers to help them comply with European Union and local regulations, and protect data as employees work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a report published today by Information Services Group (ISG).

The 2020 ISG Provider Lens Cyber Security – Solutions & Services Report, for the UK finds enterprises in the country counting on cyber security providers to help them comply with UK privacy and cyber security rules passed as the country separates from the European Union. At the same time, U.K. companies must continue to comply with E.U. data privacy regulations because of the country’s economic connections to continental Europe.

Jan Erik Aase, director and global leader, ISG Provider Lens Research said that UK enterprises are prioritising cyber security as most business processes have gone digital.

Ignition starts distribution deal with Okta

Ignition has struck a value-added distribution agreement with enterprise identity management outfit Okta for the UK and Nordics regions.

Signing Okta is part of a cunning plan for Ignition’s overall channel strategy and complements its existing portfolio and identity reference architecture.

The agreement provides resellers with something to flog to  enterprise customers looking to securely connect and manage people and technology within a complete ecosystem.
