Steve Turpie named as DXC senior vice president

DXC Technology has appointed Steve Turpie as senior vice president and general manager for the company’s region covering UK, Ireland, Israel, the Middle East and Africa.

Turpie reports to DXC President and CEO Mike Salvino. Maruf Majed, who has led the region since DXC’s inception, will retire from the company. He will remain on the DXC senior leadership team to ensure there is a smooth handover.

DXC opens London innovation centre

 

DXC has opened a new innovation centre in central London and hopes that it will bring in other partners and solve customer digital transformation problems.

The firm is keen to take a collaborative approach and claims it is open minded about working with vendors, SIs and other channel partners that can come in with the skills needed to meet the needs of users. It has been expanding innovation centres across the globe, usually based close to key customers in capital cities, and officially launched the London offering this afternoon.

DXC Technology swallows TESM

DXC Technology has written a cheque for the London-based cloud service management firm TESM.

DXC buys eBecs

Finding-Nemo-Shark-Wallpaper-HDDXC Technology has written a cheque for Chesterfield Microsoft partner eBECS.

DXC was formed last year when Hewlett Packard Enterprise span off its services business and merged it with CSC. Chesterfield-based eBECS took on investment from DXC’s predecessor in 2016, but will now become part of DXC’s Eclipse practice.

The services giant has also acquired Melbourne-based Sable37, another Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner with the aim of enhancing its Eclipse global business..

DXC Technology senior vice president Troy Richardson said: “The acquisitions of eBECS and Sable37 will enhance our ability to address client needs and add significant value to DXC’s Eclipse global business.

“It allows DXC to expand and enhance its cloud-first business with software, services, systems integration and cloud offerings – particularly in financial services, retail, manufacturing and public sector verticals.”
