ConnectWise claims to be the first to bring in ChatGPT

ConnectWise has integrated OpenAI’s ChatGPT with its remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, ConnectWise Automate and ConnectWise RMM.

It claims to be the first software vendor to release an integration with OpenAI to enable its partners to solve complex problems for their end customers.

The AI technology will enable MSPs to automate customer ticketing and issue-tracking processes, leading to faster response times and improved customer service and engagement, ConnectWise says.

ConnectWise helps partners grow their cybersecurity

Cyberman - Wikimedia CommonsTechnology solution provider (TSPs) ConnectWise, today announced the launch of the ConnectWise Partner Programme, which will focus on helping partners grow their cybersecurity practice.

TSPs, including managed service providers (MSPs), will have access to exclusive offerings, resources and support to help them improve profitability and scale and meet growing market demand for managed cybersecurity solutions.

ConnectWise CEO Jason Magee said the company said that the new Partner Programme was developed to support growth-minded TSPs looking for a strategic partner to help them build, grow and sustain a profitable services practice.

Cybersecurity is an area of opportunity for TSPs who want to attract new clients and improve retention and satisfaction among their existing ones. Recent research on SMBs shows that cybersecurity is the top priority for 42 percent with 89 percent saying it’s one of their five priorities. More than 95 percent of SMBs say they would consider switching to a new service provider if they offered the right cybersecurity solution—and on average, they’d pay up to 33 percent more.

ConnectWise expands “leadership” team

ConnectWise has expanded its leadership team with three new executive appointments across the information security, growth and engineering departments.

Chris Timms joins ConnectWise as EVP of growth from his former role at ACI Worldwide, Tom Greco is promoted from director of information security to chief information security officer (CISO) and Tony Clancy has been named SVP of engineering from his previous position at CentralSquare Technologies.

The company said that Timms leads a newly created growth organisation within ConnectWise focused on creating value for partners through the ConnectWise ecosystem and the larger industry. His responsibilities include corporate strategy, corporate development and the partner ecosystem, as well as helping drive innovation across the company.

ConnectWise buys Perch Security and StratoZen

ConnectWise has bought Perch Security and StratoZen to improve the outfit’s TSP offering.

For those that came in late, ConnectWise has a Fortify security management product solution. Perch provides the only MSP-designed SIEM in the industry, stripping away unnecessary complexity while providing the multi-tenant functionality MSPs need to support multiple SMB clients and easily capture data from the systems they are monitoring for cyber-attacks on behalf of their customers.

ConnectWise puts out two education programmes

ConnectWise has announced two new cybersecurity educational offerings: IT Nation Secure and the ConnectWise Certify Advanced playbook and courses.

The offerings will arm technology solution providers (TSPs) and managed service providers (MSPs) with the knowledge and skills needed to build and improve their security posture for their clients.

The inaugural IT Nation Secure conference will be held virtually and will take place 14-15  October during Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The conference will include multiple keynotes, breakout sessions, security briefings, live labs, tabletop exercises, and more.

ConnectWise swallows HTG

ConnectWise has swallowed its strategic partner, channel consultancy HTG.

For those who came in late, HTG is a US outfit offering consulting programmes and coaching to managed service providers.

ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini said: “This brings together a shared vision to help technology solution providers meet their full potential.

“We believe that by combining ConnectWise’s award-winning business solutions with HTG’s best-in-class business coaching programme and extensive peer-to-peer network, we are creating an extraordinary ecosystem that gives all technology solution providers the opportunity to thrive.”

HTG currently has over 600 members from 500 countries across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It hosts over 50 meetings and events annually for its members. ConnectWise has more than 130,000 users in 21,000 businesses in over 50 countries.

HTG will continue to be led as a business unit of ConnectWise by its founder Arlin Sorensen.

Sorensen said he was excited to be part of an organisation that understood the value of HTG’s programmes.

“I’m looking forward to amplifying the reach of HTG thought leadership and creating new transformative programmes that will enable TSPs to take control of their destinies.”
