Armour hatches a partnership with a partnership with Samsung Electronics and Targus

Armour Comms has teamed up with Samsung Electronics and Targus to let enterprises extend the business use of smartphones.

Armour Mobile has been optimised to provide a desktop-like user experience on Samsung DeX devices with the Targus USB-C phone dock.

The idea is to provide enterprises with a solution to support secure homes working, on enterprise-level Samsung Galaxy Android smartphones, using Armour Mobile and a Targus DeX USB-C phone dock – as an alternative to laptops. Designed with the end-user in mind employees will be can work remotely with a desktop feel, with Armour Mobile providing fully integrated secure communications for voice, video, messaging, conferencing and associated data files.

Armour joins the NHSX Clinical Communications Procurement Framework

Communication outfit Armour Comms has successfully tendered and been accepted on to the first ever edition of the NHSX Clinical Communications Procurement Framework.

Its Medicomms solution is designed  for use by health care professionals and patients.  It is an all-in-one mobile app that converges secure internal communications to help with the collection and sharing of sensitive patient data.  Medicomms is an alternative to paging and has the ability to provide a medium for secure video consultations and time limited patient aftercare communications.

David Holman, Director at Armour Comms said: “We are delighted to have been included in this first iteration of the NHSX Clinical Communications Procurement Framework. Healthcare is a key market for Armour and our partner Nine23, the product is evolving fast to provide additional services and added value to healthcare users, such as integration with patient records and task management apps.”

Armour scores £2 million

Secure communications solutions outfit Armour  has successfully closed its first round of outside investment of £2million from external investors, BOOST&Co.

The new investment comes at the end of Armour’s most successful year to date, with year-on-year revenue growth having more than doubled. Planned expansion in 2020 means the company are looking to hire up to 20 new people across the business. Several people have already been appointed, in product development and sales.

Organisations need to ban consumer-grade, free apps

London, UK – July 19, 2018: The buttons of Whatsapp, Messenger, Telegram, Pinterest Twitter, Facetime and other chat apps on the screen of an iPhone.

Security outfit Armour Communications has warned organisations to stop using consumer-grade, free apps when handling sensitive or commercial information.

Armour director David Holman said that for those with jobs where security is paramount, for example, journalists, humanitarians, activists or special services working in unfriendly regimes, a phone that has been hacked via an app could put lives at risk. For others, the risk of an individual’s private information or financial data being accessed will damage an organisation’s brand integrity and share price.

Armour partners with Global RadioData

Armour Communications has partnered with Global RadioData Communications (GRC) to provide a joint solution with 24/7 support. GRC has already secured its first two customers for the new combined solution that provides additional levels of security.

The new service is available via the UK Government Digital Marketplace G-Cloud 10, under the cloud hosting, software and support framework listed as SCYTALE Armour Comms.
