Dell boosts security portfolio

Dell is working with CrowdStrike and SecureWorks to offer enterprises access to endpoint security for digital transformation.

Dell’s new AI-driven and cloud-native  SafeGuard and Response platform contain tools that help businesses analyse threats and respond to security incidents on a single managed platform.

It is all powered by CrowdStrike, SecureWorks’ threat intelligence and response management and Dell’s wants to flog an all-in-one threat protection product for all businesses.

If SecureWorks’ RedCloak behavioural analytics system detects an emerging threat, it will be filtered out to all customers so they can be protected.

Brett Hansen, vice president and general manager of client software and security solutions, Dell said that organisations were faced with an exponentially expanding threat landscape.

“To meet the evolving needs of our customers and stay ahead of ever-evolving threats, Dell is offering organizations the tools they need to keep their devices and data secure.”

The company added that procuring its endpoint protection platform is simple – it can be tagged onto hardware purchases if needed in the form of CrowdStrike Falcon Prevent, CrowdStrike Falcon Prevent and Insight, SecureWorks Managed Endpoint Protection or SecureWorks Incident Management Retainer depending on the business’s needs.

“Attacker techniques are getting more sophisticated, and customers need managed solutions that are actively guarding against threat activity”, said Wendy Thomas, senior vice president of business and product strategy, SecureWorks. Our modern approach with Dell ensures a coordinated defence against cyber threats at the scale and speed required for any customer’s evolving security needs beyond the network.”
